Enjoy a day of biking along the beautifully scenic Cape Cod Rail Trail, a 24-mile path from Dennis to Wellfleet, traveling the entire length of Eastham. A level, state maintained bike trail on an old railroad bed, the trail follows the old Penn Central Railway tracks, traversing pine and oaks, and occasionally skirting a pond or marsh. You'll ride through woodlands, past sparkling lakes, mysterious kettle ponds and expansive salt marshes. Just off the path, side trips offer ocean beaches, fishing piers, country stores, quaint villages, parks, picnic areas, and restaurants.
