Cape Cod Rail Trail.
Enjoy a day of biking along this scenic Cape Cod bicycle trail, a 24-mile path from Dennis to Wellfleet, traveling the entire length of Eastham. This Cape Cod bike trail is a level, state maintained trail on an old railroad bed, and follows the old Penn Central Railway tracks, traversing pine and oaks, and occasionally skirting a pond or marsh. You'll ride through woodlands, past sparkling lakes, mysterious kettle ponds and expansive salt marshes. Just off the path, side trips offer ocean beaches, fishing piers, country stores, quaint villages, parks, picnic areas, and restaurants.-
Nauset National Seashore Trail.
For a shorter ride try this gentle path 3.2-mile Cape Cod trail, which takes you through the heart of the Cape Cod National Seashore, passing through the woods, picnic areas and marshes and ending at the Coast Guard Beach. This short beautiful rail trail easily connects with the Cape Cod Rail Trail for a longer ride. -

Rent bikes by the hour, day or week from nearby Little Capistrano Bike Shop. Cape Cod Hiking Trails

Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail.
Just off the Cape Cod Rail Trail in Wellfleet you'll find this short 1.25-mile boardwalk trail, which will take you through white cedar trees, a blueberry patch, wildflowers and more. Marconi Area, off Rte. 6. -
Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Hike the 5 miles of trails through marshes, ponds, and beaches surrounding this Cape Cod nature sanctuary. You'll also find a butterfly and hummingbird garden near the visitor center. -
Province Lands Trail.
For more of a challenge, try this 5.25-mile paved hiking trail through the dunes to Herring Cove Beach and Race Point Beaches near Provincetown. [Top]
